Tsirang River Valley Subtropical Birding Walk
About this experience
"Tsirang's river valleys descend from mid-altitude oak-rhododendron forest into warm subtropical broadleaf zones exceptionally rich in endemic bird species rarely encountered on Bhutan's main tourist circuits. A guided dawn walk along a valley-floor trail targets the great hornbill, Blyth's kingfisher, golden-throated barbet, and a diversity of fulvetta and laughingthrush flocks in the understory. The riparian strip adds habitat for the white-capped water redstart, crested kingfisher, and in summer the blue-naped pitta."
