"The Gelephu Mani Dungkhor is a large hand-turned prayer wheel complex at the centre of Gelephu town, built as a communal merit-accumulation structure. In the soft light of early morning, monks in maroon robes, elderly residents in traditional gho and kira, and mothers with children circle the complex, spinning the wheel and murmuring Om Mani Padme Hum in an unbroken daily devotional rhythm.
