Chele La Ridge Hike
About this experience
"Chele La at 3,988 metres is Bhutan's highest motorable pass, connecting the Haa and Paro valleys through dense rhododendron and blue fir forest. The guided ridge traverse in spring crosses a succession of rhododendron-carpeted saddles blazing with thirty species of blooms from crimson to pale yellow. Side paths lead to viewpoints overlooking Mount Jomolhari and the Haa Valley. Wildlife includes blood pheasant, Himalayan monal, and colourful mixed-species flocks foraging through the flowering canopy."
