Bomdeling Wetlands Black-Necked Crane Winter Watch
About this experience
"The Bomdeling Wildlife Sanctuary's broad marshy valley floor is one of only two sites in Bhutan where the endangered black-necked crane overwinters, hosting 200-300 birds from the Tibetan Plateau between November and March. A guided morning observation session positions guests at valley-rim viewpoints with spotting scopes focused on crane feeding grounds, observing family group dynamics, territorial displays, and the spectacular synchronised calling dances that reinforce pair bonds. A naturalist provides species identification and population monitoring context."
